Learning the Language

Picture
Learning the Language is a collection of images, each one representing a letter of the English language. Research revealed the appropriate image to serve as a vehicle for development of the series, allowing both individual presentation and installation opportunity. This presentation allows for the complete set to reveal the linear progression of established instructional methods.

Learning the Language is a suite of twenty-six lithographs each printed on Rives BFK in a limited edition of ten. Each print holds two layers; the green flat and the black tusche wash image. All ten suites were printed by the artist with assistance from Rachel Shelton, a printmaking major at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
